Keys + Doors + Blowdryers & Eyeliner = Opportunities?

"In ones self lies the whole world and if you know how to look and learn, the door is there and the key is in your hand. Nobody on earth can give you either the key or the door to open, except yourself." - Jiddu Krishnamurti

I read this quote today and felt like it spoke to me. I know that sounds totally cliché, but I guess I'm just lame like that.

Lately I've been thinking more and more about going back to school... The idea has come up time and time again over the last month or so and I can't help feeling like its a sign (totally cliché again, I know!). Its not just the idea of going back to school in a vague sense but more specifically, Cosmetology School. I thought about it back in high school, and the idea's come up over the last couple of years but lately its been more than an idea; Its been like a giant pit bull st airing me down and there's no denying that its totally there... Too dramatic?

Ok in all seriousness, I could totally see myself going to school for hair and make-up and specializing in either the stage and theater or fashion industries. But what it all really comes down to is choosing the right school... Do I go $15,000 into student loan debt for Pheagans like everyone else does or $25,000 for Paul Mitchell?

Its a lot to think about and I'll definitely be doing my research over the next few weeks... I'll keep everyone posted on what I find but for now its time for a shower, glass of wine, and bed!

Night All!

Debt, The American Way

Today I woke up thinking it was time to start doing some research and looking into going back to school. I have my options narrowed down, now I just have to figure out how I'm going to fund this endeavour! Since our government wastes all its money on unnecessary committees, giving assistance to people who really need to quite doing drugs and get a job, and allotting bonuses to undeserving politicians, filling out the FASFA for me is like a bad joke. Last year one of my parents was unemployed (due to the economy affecting orders through their work) for some time, you would think this would help me get something out of the government to help for college... Ya no. After submitting the FASFA I was directed to a new page that basically said, You don't get nothin! But here's some places you can get loans from.

Seriously....... Does anyone else see the irony in this?!?

I totally understand that there really is only so much that the government can do to help with financing college but in light of the recent debt crisis, I find this almost comical!

Anyone have thoughts on this? Am I the only person that finds this ironic?

Something bigger than Snooki's Poof!

Today I sat down and deleted my old blog...

Why you may ask..?

Simply put, because life changes.

I plan to use this blog to write (... ok, and rant sometimes) about, well, everything! I am a one woman wonder into fashion, makeup, gossip magazines, and I am addicted to reality tv; I just so happen to also love Bill O'Reilly, Nancy Grace, Dateline, the local news, checking the stock market stats, and talking politics.... Oh man is this going to be fun...

Check back often to see what I think of Obama Care, Who the Bachelorette picked this season, the status of the Global Economy and the Debt Crisis, and I wouldn't be able to call myself a proud American if I didn't sneak Snooki's Poof in somewere!
